Multiple Carriers. One Advocate Working for You.
As an independent agency, we hold appointments with more than 50 insurance carriers — which means when you need coverage, we compare options across the market rather than steering you toward a single company's products.
Every carrier relationship we maintain was chosen deliberately. We work with companies that price competitively, pay claims fairly, and serve the types of risks our clients actually face across Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
The Carriers Behind Your Coverage
Our carrier lineup spans personal and commercial lines, from standard-market auto and home to high-value property, specialty risks, and multifamily investment portfolios. Below are the primary carriers we represent — the ones we reach for most often because they consistently perform for our clients.
Auto-Owners Insurance
Auto-Owners is our anchor carrier and one of the most financially stable insurers in the country. They hold an A++ (Superior) rating from AM Best — the highest available — and have earned it for decades through disciplined underwriting and consistent claims handling. We write a significant portion of our personal and commercial book through Auto-Owners because their pricing, coverage breadth, and renewals hold up over time in ways that matter when a claim actually happens.

Chubb
Chubb is the standard for high-value personal insurance. If you own a custom-built home, a significant jewelry or art collection, or multiple properties across state lines, Chubb's agreed-value coverage structure and white-glove claims service belong in the conversation. We turn to Chubb when standard-market coverage would leave meaningful gaps.

Travelers
Travelers brings depth in both personal and commercial lines. For homeowners in Georgia and the Southeast, Travelers offers competitive pricing with strong wind and water coverage options — relevant given the region's storm exposure. On the commercial side, they're a reliable option for small business and property risks.

Liberty Mutual
Liberty Mutual gives us flexibility across a range of personal-lines profiles — particularly useful when a client's history, property characteristics, or bundling needs don't fit neatly into a single carrier's appetite. Their underwriting guidelines give us room to work with clients other carriers might decline or surcharge heavily.

Progressive
Progressive is our primary resource for non-standard and specialty auto risks — high-performance vehicles, motorcycles, drivers with prior incidents, and commercial auto. Their appetite for risks that standard carriers avoid makes them a consistent part of our quoting process for the right client profiles.

And 45+ More
Beyond our anchor carriers, we hold appointments with dozens of additional companies covering renters, condo, umbrella, life, personal articles, multifamily property, and more. When a client's situation calls for a specialty market or a carrier with a particular geographic strength, we have options to explore.
Why Carrier Access Is the Whole Point
A captive agent represents one company. If that company's rates rise at renewal, or their underwriting appetite shifts, the agent's options are limited. We operate differently.
Because we're independent, we can re-shop your coverage at every renewal — not just when you ask us to. If a better fit exists across our carrier panel, we find it before you're locked into another year at the wrong price with the wrong terms.
That's not a feature we added. It's the reason independent agencies exist.
Access to 50+ carriers across personal and commercial lines
Annual renewal review with re-shopping when warranted
No financial incentive to favor one carrier over another
Carrier selection matched to your specific risk profile, not our convenience
Appointments spanning GA, AL, FL, SC, and TN market conditions
Carrier Strength Is Only Part of the Equation
The best carrier relationship in the world doesn't help you if no one explains what your policy actually covers. Our team — Jamie, Zach, and Leslie — reviews coverage terms, not just premium lines, so you understand what you're buying before you need to use it.
Jamie's background in risk management and claims adjusting means she reads policy language the way an adjuster would. That perspective shapes how we structure coverage and which carriers we recommend for which risks.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Carrier Relationships
Do you work with Auto-Owners Insurance in Atlanta?
Yes. Auto-Owners is our primary carrier and one we rely on heavily for both personal and commercial lines across the Atlanta metro and throughout Georgia. They're an appointment-only carrier, meaning you can only access them through an independent agent — not directly or through a captive agency.
Can you write coverage through Chubb for high-value homes in Georgia?
Yes. We hold a Chubb appointment and regularly place high-value homeowners, jewelry, art, and personal collections through them. If your home's replacement cost or personal property values exceed standard-market thresholds, Chubb is often the right conversation to have.
Why don't you list every carrier you work with?
Our full carrier panel changes as we add appointments and as carriers adjust their underwriting appetite by state and line of business. The carriers listed here represent our most active relationships. If you have a specific carrier in mind or a coverage need that isn't obvious, contact us and we'll tell you what we can access.
Is Walker Insurance Group affiliated with Walker Insurance in South Georgia or Walker Insurance Allstate Group in Tucker?
No. Walker Insurance Group is an independent agency headquartered in Atlanta with no affiliation to either of those agencies. Walker Insurance Allstate Group is a captive Allstate affiliate — a different business model entirely. We represent 50+ carriers and hold no captive contracts.
Do your carrier appointments cover states outside Georgia?
Yes. We're licensed in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee, with select appointments in additional states including Wyoming, Michigan, Texas, and Arizona. Our carrier access in each state varies by line of business — contact us to confirm availability for your specific coverage need.
